2018 TRENDS
Y'all remember when the year began?and you silently told yourself that this year will be better, you will be a different person and even went further and jotted down your year's resolutions? Well it the end of the year,it's almost atleast..51 days to go to another new year.
I will ensure we recap every end of the year what the fashion trends will be in that particular year. This year was an amazing year and it's when I decided to start this blog🤗 and what better way than to review 2018 fashion trends..Some of the trends this year actually re-occurred which is fine🙃
This year's trends include berets,fannypacks, cropped flare jeans,off shoulder tops,feministic chic,athleisure,bralets etc...
Badanas
Bandanas are a retro style from way before the rise of hiphop culture (r.i.p to 2pac). It is a unisex fashion which means everybody gets to look cool. It is a style associated with cool guys who probably have cool stuff to do with their cool friends. In short, 'buy a bandana, you'll look so cool'. The latest trend in the bandana culture is to wear one as a choker. To cop this style, you have to own a bandana, a neck and a mirror to see how awesome you look. YG, a west coast rapper, may have inspired the popularity of this new fad through his music videos where he shows his strong sense of fashion. Peep at Proud by 2 Chainz and get a full glimpse of Young Gangsta in a bandana choker.
Cigarette trousers
Wiktionary describes cigarette trousers as trousers with a snug fit through the legs, ending in a small leg opening.
Cigarette trousers or if you prefer 'pants' are originally from the 1950's when women started wearing trousers and they were characterised by high waists, flat fronts and no belt loops. The idea, probably, was for a woman to wear 'pants' and still look feminine and sexy but men too embrace the fashion since it is traditionally masculine apparel. Cigarette trousers fall maybe 1 - 2 inches short of the ankles but can be cropped to a desired style.A shorter version of cigarette trousers is referred to as Capri and can be describe as a long short with a slim fit *chuckles. Call it what you like, this new style is coloring our streets with graceful fashion. Cigarette trousers are best coupled with a simple blouse for women and plain shirts for the gentlemen. It is a minimalistic style, alright, but put a blazer on and "darn, thats dapper!" 2018 has been a year of 'new' and if you have not tried this new style yet, you could buy a pair of shears and become a stylist or just go shopping like a human being. And no, cigarette pants are not for people who smoke

This look is one of my favourite and it was such a big deal this year that the organizers of @thrift-social decided to make it the theme of the event...If you missed the event, mark your calendars next year and make sure you attend especially if you are a fashion lover.

off-shoulder
No lie my great grandma pulled off this look many years ago and surprisingly it re surfaced this and every trendy girl has one or two off- shoulder dresses or blouses(whether bohemian or cultural) I owe one myself but mine I'd rather rock them with a trouser than a maxi skirt...
cat eye goggles
Thanks to Kendall Jenner,these was brought to light😍Every new music video you cannot notspot a pair or two and my friend @jessica-grace is obsessed with them and guess who rocks cat eye goggles and a pajama top to a fashion show event! This girl right here
fannypacks and mule shoes
One look i cant pull..I guess it's just not my style.Thank God some of my classmates are fashionable and can
pull off this look like its no big deal! a kawaida "mama mboga" bag and some funny looking shoes

You guys remember how cold june and july was...berets were trendy then and they came in handy trust me..june my friend rocked it in june😝😝(punn intended)
